A few years ago, a message came in to this website on the FAQ line from a young actress from Georgia (the one from the former USSR, not the State with Atlanta in it) called Anna Gurji. She sent a link to her webpage and to films she had made in Georgia, and told me she was a fan, and if she…

Ang Tatay kong Nanay- 1978 directed by Lino Brocka. Ang Tatay kong Nanay tenderly portrays issues of homosexuality in the philippines in the 70s. Dolphy’s portrayal of Coring as a transexual turned single parent to Nonoy tugs hearts strings in more ways than one. The character Coring embodies the aches of the Filipino gay community and the sensitivities of bringing up a child as a gay parent in 70s Pinoy society. Orlando Nandres, the writer of the said movie, gave life to what was then a taboo subject in Philippine cinema and Dolphy is the most fitting actor to breathe life into the role of Coring. In a mountain barangay of the northern town of San Remigio, we had the chance to check an eclectic house, its interiors of color gold, magnificently sit atop a hill. The owner (the wife) was able to marry someone from the Middle East (thus, explain the gold theme). All the materials were brought abroad.☺

This was taken way back 2009, so, i assume the house is done by now. I do hope I could visit the house again and check how it looked like now. For the meantime, here’s what we saw… ☺

A natural spring in Asturias.♥

Saw a cat in a flea market in Rio with his master selling cat apparels … siya ang model. I asked how much the hat costs and gave it to me for free.♥

We had just an hour! JUST AN HOUR!

An out-of-town trip to Roxas City in Capiz. Dozing from a tiresome land trip… :D Haaay How time flies.. the years 2009 & 2010 were filled with lots of out-of-Cebu trips and this was one of it. We were in Capiz for the One Visayas Expo.

Last Suroy-suroy Sugbo (Explore the Midwest) in 2011, Tuburan had an agrofair and included a few animals on it including this local eagle.

Now, now, now… here’s a cutie here i found in one of the agrofair exhibit in Tuburan. But this guy is tied to a treehouse. Decoration purposes only…my heart aches. I would really have wanted to free it… :(

Summer is officially here and memories of my quick visit to Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte remains vivid. Was here for the sisterhood signing between Cebu and Ilocos Norte…and as sisters, there could be no better way to get to know each other than marvel unto interesting places. It iso ur turn to get intimate with Ilocos and so our itinerary includes a two-day tour around Ilocos Norte.

We didn’t have much time. We just fropped by Pagudpud for lunch and so off we ran fast to the beach… like just a minute. I don’t know if I could still have another chance to visit Ilocos Norte but if I do, I would love to stay in Pagudpud for days.
